Field Day is Coming!!!
Dear Parents:
This year we are planning an end of the year field day on May 28, 2013. All students are eligible to attend. The Field Day Committee and the Positive Behavior Committee have worked together to shape behavioral guidelines for students participation. These requirements are as follows:
If a student receives 0 Discipline Referrals during the last nine weeks, then he/she will be able to participate for the entire Field Day time.
If a student receives 1 Discipline Referral during the last nine weeks, then he/she will be eligible to attend ½ of the field day. During the first half of the time slot, students will work on grade level work with a certified teacher.
If a student receives 2 or more discipline referrals during the last nine weeks, then he/she Will Not Be Eligible to attend the field day. Class work will be provided and these students will work with a certified teacher during Field Day.
The Oak Ridge students have learned and have practiced the expectations for a positive learning environment during the 2012-2013 school year. We are excited to present this opportunity to our students as a way to cap off this school year. These guidelines will insure a safe and enjoyable field day.
